Scope and Contents Manuscript, probably produced in Iceland, containing a set of Icelandic laws known as 'Jónsbók'. The manuscript has been dated to the 14th century by Thorkelin, and to the 15th century by Þorkelsson, specifically circa 1420-1460. Ólafur Halldórsson has dated the manuscript to circa 1450. Þorkelsson has also identified this manuscript as based on an older codex of the 'Jónsbók' due to the inclusion of Icelandic court orders of 1294, 1305, and 1314, with a distinct lack of orders...

Scope and Contents Early 18th-century manuscript containing Icelandic laws, probably written in Iceland. The work is neatly written with broad margins and occasional marginal annotations in contemporary hands. The decoration consists of large plain penwork initials.The title on folio 1r reads: 'Lögbók Islendinga sem Magnus Kóngr Hákonar son liet samanskrifa enn Egrekur Kóngur sonur hans sende inn í landed og baud fyri Lög'.Most of the material in the volume has been copied from a book...

Scope and Contents Manuscript probably written in Iceland, containing a copy of the Jónsbók. It is incomplete at the end. 74 folios, measuring ca. 19 x 16.5 x 19 cm (average size). Written on vellum in a uniform hand in single columns. The first page begins the text with a large decorative initial; further larger initials coloured in red, green and yellow are found on folios 2v, 8r, 13r, 28v, 41r and 53v. Smaller decorative initials in blue and red in a variety of styles can be found throughout....
Dates: 16th century.

There are also an extract from the constitution of the Society (in French), a note on the subscriptions (in Danish), and a list of the books published by the Society....
